This scholarship carries the name and spirit of Ty Vaughn, a proud U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, a dedicated Heart Strings For Heroes - M.E.T. student, and a graduate of our program.

Ty brought heart, humor, and determination to every lesson. He passed suddenly on his birthday in August of 2026, leaving behind a legacy of courage, kindness, and a deep love for music. We were able to spend beautiful moments together, in his last days.

His message was “Don`t back down”

Your contribution ensures that Ty’s musical light never fades. Through your generosity, his name will continue to inspire healing, hope, and creativity — granting the gift of music to those who need it most.

From all of us at Heart Strings For Heroes, thank you for helping keep Ty’s legacy alive and shining.

Thank you Thomas Bassano and Cindy Bassano from Bassano Cheesecake Cafe

who held a fundraiser for us on Saturday July 11th 2026 in Safety Harbor FL.

It was so hot out that he almost had to go to the hospital from heat exhaustion. Nevertheless he pulled through and made it all the way to the end as he always does.

Thank you to everybody who came to the event and worked the event, and supported our mission of music therapy! Great people doing great things!
